Thanks to a particular casting process which allows to get the electric
conductivity levels higher than 80% IACS, 99.9% electrolytic copper
is used whenever very high thermal or electric conductivity is required
in parts which, owing to their geometry, have necessarily to be obtained
from casting. Very small quantities of added inoculants (beryllium,
cobalt, chromium, nickel, silicon) allow - though with a very small
conductivity loss - to remarkably increase mechanical characteristics
and thus to widen application fields; in this case, a complete sequence
of thermal treatments is compulsory.

Achieved according to the regulations of the table UNI 4855 "Casting
copper alloys as ingots and castings - Generalities and tests"
